Jianping He lives and works in Berlin as a graphic designer, professor, and publisher, dividing his time between Europe and China.
His work lies at the intersection of design, culture, and visual language. Through hesign, the studio he founded, he develops projects that view design not merely as a surface treatment, but as a cultural practice. In his teaching and publications, he has long explored the question of how design conveys knowledge—and how design evolves across different cultural contexts.
His work has received numerous international awards and has been featured in many exhibitions. As a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), he is one of the leading voices in contemporary graphic design.
